Class Structure  

Kids do not have to run the Novice class. Kids can enter any class.

If a kid or adult enter the Novice class, they can not enter the other classes.

Novices may enter the Vet class and the Spec class if they meet the requirements.

F1 - 100cc air cooled, manual clutch 4 stroke, 111cc air cooled auto clutch 4 stroke, 50cc liquid cooled 2-stroke, 60cc air cooled 2-stroke No age restriction.
F2 - 136cc air cooled 4-stroke, 65cc 2-stroke No age restriction.
F3 - 151cc air cooled 4-stroke, 72cc 2-stroke No age restriction.
F4 - 85cc 2-stroke, 176cc air cooled 4-stroke No age restriction.
F5 - 105cc 2-stroke, 150 water cooled 4-stroke, 176cc air cooled 4-stroke No age restriction.
SuperMoto Unlimited to 625cc single cylinder, no GP chassis No age restriction.
Kids novice C - F1 bike rules, kids 5-14, only allowed to race novice races.
Kids novice B - F2 bike rules, kids 5-14, only allowed to race novice races.
Kids novice A - F3-4 bike rules, kids 5-14, only allowed to race novice races.
Adult novice - any F1-F3 bike,14-up, only allowed to race novice race unless you meet requirements for Spec or Vet.
NSR50 Must race a Honda NSR50. No engine, chassis, carburetor, or exhaust modifications.
Vet Class - 40+ years old the day of the race. Any F1-F5 bike. You may enter other classes as well
Thumpstar Spec Class HW – 195 pounds and up with gear. No age restriction.
Thumpstar Spec Class LW – 194 pounds and down with gear. No age restriction.

1. Must run a Thumpstar TDX Super Motorcycle
2. Motorcycle must pass pre race tech
3. Motorcycle must be stock in appearance and must retain Thumpstar decals. Color changes of bodywork allowed. Additional stickers allowed, but must not cover stock stickers.
4. Must use stock motor. NO MOTOR MODIFICATION ALLOWED. Motors will have a seal and must be unbroken at tech to enter class.
5. Electric starter must remain on motor, but battery and wiring may be removed. Bike must run stock ignition. No aftermarket “Black boxes”
6. Must use stock carb. and intake. No modifications allowed. Jetting changes are allowed.
7. Must use UNMODIFIED stock exhaust.
8. Gearing changes are allowed.
9. Must use stock fork and shocks. Springs, valving and oil may be changed.
10. Must use stock brake master cylinders, calipers, and rotors. Brake pads may be changed to aftermarket.
11. Must use stock supplied 12” wheels.
12. Tires must be commercially available DOT tires. No slicks or rain tires.
13. You may change handlebars, grips, and levers.
14. If it doesn’t say you can change it, don’t!

Daily Schedule and practice running order.

7:00am          Gates open, registration begins

7:30am        Tech inspection is open Tech. closes at 8:45am. If you miss tech, you may have to wait until lunch.

8:45am        Registration closes. If you miss registration, you will probably miss both practices. You will be given a chance for late sign up at lunch, but you will be gridded at the back of your race.

8:45am     Riders Meeting at the scoring tower

9:00am     First round of practice begins.   There is a sign at pit out indicating what class is on track and who is up next. DO NOT PRACTICE OUT OF YOUR GROUP. It will cause scoring issues.

If you pre-registered, you may pick up your transponder first thing in the am.  

At the track, we accept cash, check, Visa, or Master Card.

Day-of-race registrants will have to wait until after the first round of practice to pickup their transponder in order to be timed for the main race.

ASAP       Second round of practice begins. (same order)
After your practice, go check your grid position for the main race

12:00pm       Lunch Break and Chapel Service

12:45pm       Riders Meeting at the scoring tower

1:00pm        Feature Races (same order)

ASAP            Trophy presentation follows immediately after the last race.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO TURN IN YOUR TRANSPONDER!!!   Have a safe trip home.

Fee to enter the property

          Everyone must have an insurance wristband @ $20 ea. This armband will be good for the entire weekend

Entry Fees

        Pre Entry $50 for 1 class, $65 for 2 classes, $80 for 3 classes, $95, etc..... per rider.
        Post Entry $80 for 1 class, $100 for 2 classes, $120 for 3 classes, $140, etc.... per rider
        Pre Entry will close 2 weeks prior to the event.

Practice Fee

        Practice Friday on unlimited amount of bikes for $50 per rider.

Camping Fee

         Camping will be allowed. Bathrooms will be on site. No camper sewer, water,  or power. $50/weekend

Reserved Parking

          Parking spots will be sold for $30 for the entire weekend. This will ensure that you get a spot close to tech/reg/pit out

Pit with power

          Monticello has 10 pit areas with a roof and power. These spots will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Tech

     In addition to radiator overflow, we now requires a catch can for carburetor overflow and crankcase ventilation.  The catch can must be functional catch can.  Also a one way valve must be functional on dirtbike style gas caps.  Because of damage to racetracks from spilled race fuel, you will not be allowed on the track without the required catch cans.

  1. Throttle must return freely
  2. Working engine kill switch
  3. Bar ends to protect throttle
  4. Levers must have ball ends unless protected by “barkbusters
  5. Working front brakes
  6. Tires and rims in good condition
  7. No turn signals or mirrors
  8. Headlights taped or removed
  9. No tail light or taillight brackets
  10. Oil drain plug safety wired
  11. Numbers on front (Minimum 5")
  12. Numbers on sides (Min 3")
  13. Kick starter lever removed or secured by a cable tie or inner heavy rubber band
  14. Exhaust pipe securely mounted
  15. Masterlink clip safety wired or secured with Permatex, etc.
  16. Watercooled machines: NO ANTI-FREEZE. Water wetter or water only. Must have radiator catch bottle of at least 6oz.
  17. No sharp edges that would be hazardous to your fellow competitors or yourself
  18. No leaking fluids. No leaking fluids. No leaking fluids.

Pitbikes will be allowed. Security will be on hand and enforce a 5mph pit speed. Your bike will be impounded for abuse.

Curfew is 9pm. Security will be on the property.

Animals are allowed. Must be leashed. Owners must clean up after pets.

Alcohol can only be consumed in designated areas.

Teardown rule

       We will have a "lottery" teardown. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place racers will put their name in a hat and 1 name will be

       drawn for a teardown. Podium bikes will stay in impound until the lottery has been done and a bike is chosen for

      teardown. The bike's engine will be marked to prevent tampering before the engine has been measured by an official.

Protest rule

        A racer can protest a competitor for cheating by paying $100. If the competitor is cheating, the protestor gets the money back

and the competitor is disqualified. If the competitor is legal, the protestor loses the money. If a competitor is torn down Saturday,

their engine will be sealed so that they can not be protested Sunday.
